- Local Storage: All of your media tracking data (movies, shows, books, games, progress, and ratings) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
- No Accounts: We do not require you to create an account, nor do we maintain any external databases housing your personal information.
3. Third-Party Services and APIs
To provide media search capabilities and display rich content (such as posters and descriptions), Shelf connects to third-party APIs directly from your device:
- OMDb API: Used for fetching information about movies and television shows.
- Open Library API: Used for fetching information about books.
When you perform a search, the search query is sent directly to these services. These third-party services may log your IP address and search requests in accordance with their own respective privacy policies.
4. Advertising
